Pilar's Big Day
August 26, 2001
We woke up Sunday morning to find a beautiful bundle in our bed - a little
pink lady weighing a few breaths over 7 pounds. At almost 19 inches long, she's
all fingers and toes. Should be climbing trees in no time. Or pedaling a trike?
After a couple days of getting to know her (and a couple days of telling grandparents,
no, she doesn't have a name yet), we decided Pilar Mazie Deniston
fits her. Mama Nicole is doing very well. Definitely the hero of this family.
With the help of three extremely talented midwives, she gave birth naturally
after about 12 hours of labor, at 7:35am.
